A Bit About Andrew

Meet The Farmer - Andrew Albert of Andrew’s Hay.  There is a difference between just making hay and actually farming.  Andrew has been farming for well over 20 years. Honestly he has been farming his entire life being raised on a dairy farm with his dad, and working growing crops with his uncle as he got older.  Andrew has worked with almost every farmer in the area, gaining knowledge that can only be learned from experience and passed down through hard work.  Andrew uses his gained knowledge and experience to farm his ground at the highest level.

He works with several certified agronomists to test all of his soils and hay that comes off of his ground.  Together, they formulate fertilizer mixes and weed control plans to ensure his grass is as healthy as it can be.  Andrew also uses crop rotation with other crops such as corn for cows, wheat, spinach, Swiss chard, cabbage, Sudan grass, teff grass and more.  When a grass field starts getting more than five years, the hay that comes off of it starts decreasing in quality.  Andrew recognizes this and uses his resources to till those fields up and replant the latest varieties of orchard grass ensuring his fields always have the highest quality forages for his customers.

Our expert staff at Andrew’s Farm Store will always help find the perfect feed for your needs. Andrew himself is always willing to offer advice as well.  Andrew takes his dedication to quality and his customers even a step further by standing behind every bale made. If any hay purchased from Andrew's Hay is moldy or weedy, bring it back for a free exchange or a refund.  Andrew says he will "always make it right" with his customers. Please come and visit Andrew's Hay and see for yourself the difference between farming and just making hay.
